Founded in 2015, «Green Food» LLC has immediately started construction of a greenhouse
for strawberry cultivation.
The greenhouse facility was put into operation in 2018. It was built by using modern
technologies, in compliance with international standards. During the construction of
greenhouse facility, the Company has cooperated with the world-renowned French
company “Richel”, which specializes in the design and construction of membrane
greenhouses.
The greenhouse is located at the foot of Mount Aragats, at an altitude of 1700 meters above
sea level, and covers an area of 9 hectares.
The company produces red strawberries the seedlings of which were brought from Europe,
which has excellent taste and long-lasting shelf life.
Owing to implementation of modern technologies, the crop has 100% biological protection,
and is grown without the use of chemicals, furthermore use of the CO2 gas system
significantly improves the quality and taste of the crop.
Strawberries are grown in a membrane greenhouse, using hydroponic technology, on
special racks 70-80 cm above the ground level, replacing the soil with coco peat, coconut
fiber imported from Sri Lanka.
Strawberries grown in such a way are considered to be biologically pure and comply with all
international standards, which enables the company to export the products to EEU
countries and countries outside this Union, which is improved by our G.A.P. sertificate
The product is packed in boxes of 250 g, which are placed in 10 seat boxes.
When exported, the boxes are placed on pallets and packed in a special film to avoid
temperature fluctuations and to deliver the product safe to the consumer.
